My Approach

I am an Integrative and Relational Psychotherapist, which means I adapt my approach to meet your needs and way of being, and at the centre of my practice is the belief that the relationship between client and therapist can be a catalyst for lasting change.

Relational Psychotherapy

Difficulties within past or current important relationships often generate problems that we might come to therapy with.  Humans are fundamentally relational beings, and our healing and growth often happen within a safe, trusting, and authentic connection. Part of my work is to pay close attention to what unfolds between us in the 'here and now' of our therapy and offer you a lens to explore, understand, and shift your experience of the world.

An Integrative Approach

I have been trained in a number of modalities which I can draw from  and shift between, to find a way of working that suits you and adapts to changing needs thorough your therapy journey. These include Psychodynamic and attachment-based theories; Person-centred and existential therapy, and body-psychotherapies.

Intersectionality and GSRD competence

I also bring an appreciation of the socio-political context in which we live, and the impact of structural oppression, particularly on people with minoritised experience. I try to be aware of, and challenge, the ways in which these structures can be replicated in the therapy room. I have an intentionally LGBTQ-affirmative approach, which I believe can benefit all clients, regardless of their sexuality or gender..
